We are booked!

I feel like I have been talking about booking Paris forever. It is probably true. Let me just say it wasn't easy, but we did it. Emma and I are booked. I arrive the morning of June 27 and Emma flies in from Prague to meet me the same day.

Why wasn't it easy? There were so many different elements that had to be considered. Conversations with Emma, her teacher and Travel Cuts agent organizing her Eastern Europe Trip, and then the person booking our trip. Although we started planning a long time ago, we didn't execute the plan in time. Because of this we didn't get a hotel in the area we originally wanted to, but the new hotel looks great and was a great deal!
We are staying at Hotel Magellan, (pictured to the right) which is close to the Arc de Triomphe. There are some great reviews posted on tripadvisor, so I have a lot of faith in the area where we are staying. Tripadvisor also has some pictures of the hotel if you want to take a look. It looks nice. I have been told hotel rooms in Paris are quite small, and from the pictures on the site, this looks to be accurate.

I am a bit overwhelmed with all of the information I have already read about Paris. So much to see and do in just 10 days! If you have any suggestions about places we much visit, please send them our way.

Emma is so excited to go to the Palace of Versailles. I very excited to go to the Eiffel Tower, but I am most excited about going on vacation with Emma for the first time.

The only draw back about going away is leaving ethel. Dad has promised me he will close the doors so she can't escape. My colleagues suggested posting post-it notes on all of the doors. I am sure ethel will enjoy her time with marmy and pappy.

Looking forward to receiving you suggestions about Paris.
