We weren't quick to get up this morning. Unfortunately, we didn't hear the alarm so it was a late start. By 11:00 we were on our way through the streets of Paris, map in hand.
Emma decided that we were going to walk to Sacre Coeur. To put it into perspective it was about a 2 hour walk.. up hill.. both ways..
My calves were burning. We came upon Montramarte Cemetery. It was crazy cool. Some of the plots were extremely elaborate.
We then kept going and made our way up to Sacre Coeur. My favourite part of the trip so far. We decided to climb the winding staircase to the dome. 300 stairs !!! It was hardcore. But you're not hardcore, unless you live hardcore.
We got extremely dizzy. It was a tight squeeze.
We needed some down time to let our muscles relax from the extreme fitness they just experience so we had a nice lunch then hung out on the lawn in front of the Basillica.
We then made our way to the Opera house. It was sooo beautiful!
Here we are now. Having some down time before dinner.
