Emma and I have been trying to walk as much as possible, but after yesterday we gave in and took the metro to gallerie lafayette. It was a shoppers paradise. Emma bought some nice things. I still haven't found what I am looking for - whatever that is.
From there we took the metro to the Eiffel tower and decided to take a cruise along the Seine. It was the hottest day ever today. Too hot really. We had great dreams of climbing the tower today, but have decided to wait until Saturday ... it will be our send off to Paris.
The metro has been tough for us to grasp. I am not sure if I am stupid or if it is just hard, but Emma and I seem to have several disagreements when it comes to where to go.
The most interesting part of our day was dinner. Emma and I put on nice dresses and headed to a spot we had passed earlier today. It looked nice and is close to our hotel. When we sat down, after ordering wine we realized that it was a seafood restaurant. FYI - Emma doesn't eat fish or has she ever. The only other option was veal. She doesn't like the idea of eating baby cow, or baby ethel as she put it, so she went with the asparagus lobster contraption. She ate it all and was proud of herself. It was very cute. We are sure the waiters were laughing at us. We had no idea it was fish only.
Happy Canada Day on July 1st ... We will be celebrating at Versailles - We are so excited. Enjoy some of today's photos.
