We just kept walking ... My feet hurt real bad!

So Friday night we passed out at 7pm Paris time, only to wake up at 8:30am. Emma and I both needed it. We were well refreshed for our day, and what a day it was.

We are like Forrest Gump ... We walked and we walked and we walked.

We started our day by walking down the Champs de Elysses. Lots of very nice shops. Emma bought a beautiful shirt.

From there we walked to a surprise exhibit. It was the second last day of a Marie Antionette (sp?) exhibit which was AWESOME! Emma was in heaven. We then decided to keep walking down the Champs and see the many statues and fountains. Lots of pics.

Then Emma spotted a giant ferris wheel and talked me into going on it. There was a carnival right close to the Louvre. So we bought some cotton candy and gummi treats for the ride on the ferris wheel. Little did we know that the bulk candy would cost 11 euros - and Emma and I didn't bring a lot of cash with us - so we couldn't go on the ride and Emma's stomach hurt from the candy.

We stood outside the louvre and admired the pyramid. We are going later on in the week. So we kept walking along the Seine and stopped for lunch at an adorable cafe where we did lots of people watching.

Then we walked to Notre Dame and spent like 4 hours there. It was beautiful. Paris' gay pride parade was today. We didn't get to see it but saw a lot of revelers.

I then sat and had a crepe and Emma had French fries (how fitting) and then we kept walking.

We stopped at a few shops. Emma bought a beautiful dress (don't worry Marm/Hork - good deals). We attempted to walk all the way home but I made Emma take the metro to the arc and we walked home from there.

We left the hotel at 10am and just got back at 8:30. My back is killing me from carrying my heavy bag and as Emma would say - le tired.

We are going to relax for a while, shower and then go out for dinner. Hopefully by 10ish.

Not sure what we are going to do tomorrow.

Glad to hear ethel is making out ok. I guess it is fitting that she is eating cheese while I am in Paris.
